Liberation. From oneself; from one's old, outdated self that holds one back from being who they truly are. An exorcism from yesterday's demons, delivered on a weathered platter of shame, fear, anger, and prayers for forgiveness, as well as justification. MAGNUR dares to be ugly, boundary-pushing, and ultimately invincible, for everything is given, and therefore everything is gained.
Electronic experiments in tactile sounds and harsh noise, both caressing and scraping the ear, underscore an expressive voice that dives into a thousand expressions, through silky-smooth or granite-hard paths of shouting, screaming, and soothing singing. Ambient, drum'n'bass, and dance, among other elements, join the journey. On stage, alone or with a band behind, MAGNUR is volcanic and raw physical expression. MAGNUR released the album 'Nyde Lyde' in 2022, a dark-ambient work delving into human darkness, one's own doomsday, and life after time. Based in Aarhus, MAGNUR is currently working on the EP 'DI,' expected to be released in the spring of 2024, featuring the single 'Hey Daddy.'
