It's time for mutual sollutions for common problems within the music industry.
The last few years, a number of creating and practicing artists have come forward and told the public about discriminating and sexistic behaviour as well as failure to thrive within the music industry. Studies support this and show, among other things, that creating and practicing musicians are up to three times as likely to suffer from anxiety and depression as the general population.
The music industry is behind when it comes to contributing to the changes that are needed to release the pressure on social sustainability. Collaboration between different players is essential for the sollution to a lot of the big, complex challenges regarding sustainability that the music business is facing.
Musiklivets Partnerskab for Bæredygtig Udvikling (the music industry's partnership for sustainable development) invites everybody to a presentation and a conversation about a strenghtened cooperation within the music industry and puts forward the question of how we as a community address big challenges now and in the future: equal access and mental health.
