‘Glocalisation’ of Music Streaming within and across Europe (English)

Presented by Will Page, London School of Economics

Radisson Blu Room 11
EN DK

We didn't even know how to pronounce the tongue-twisting word 'glocalisation' last year, yet it has become the phrase du jour this year. Why is it that local bands are getting to the top of their local charts in their local language on global platforms, contrary to what theory predicted? This session will explain why glocalisation is happening and what it means - especially for artists and labels in a small European market like Denmark.

Keynote: Will Page, author, fellow/London School of Economics, former chief-economist/Spotify and PRS for Music

This keynote opens the seminars Let's Talk Streaming and Let's Talk Music Export.

This keynote will be in English.

Presented by DPA – The association for professional songwriters and producers in cooperation with Promus & SPOT+.

Keynote: Will Page, forfatter, fellow/London School of Economics, tidligere cheføkonom/Spotify og PRS for Music
