These years Roskilde Festival is taking part in a large-scale, tans-European project about young people's social innovation on music festivals called FUSION. The project explores how festivals can work as incubators for social act and lay the seed for new societal influence among young communities.
It is a clear generational tendency that musicians and the generation z-audience find a mutual interest in social and societal changes. At this panel session the audience will be presented to specific knowledge about how festivals and other platforms for music and youth culture - like labels and venues - can become a part of the tendency and create settings for informal learning spaces that supports the youth's engagement in society and the waves of social changes.
In the panel you will meet Kara Djurhuus, Head of Philanthropy at Roskilde Festival, Fine Stammnitz from Green Touring Network and Aktionsnetzwerk Nachhaltigkeit, Manus Bell from Rapolitics, Frida Simon Jahn from Den Grønne Ungdomsbevægelse and Melanie Weber from Rocken am Brocken. The panel will present various perspectives on and experiences with social innovation for music festivals and actors alike.
This talk will be in English.
