Based in Copenhagen, born in Aarhus and of Tanzanian descent, Jolie explores sounds from Africa and the African diaspora. From beats with Highlife samples to Gqom, Kuduro and beyond, she aspires to bring you unique selections, old and new, that are not necessarily found on the top music charts. Jolie has been spinning records on various stages in Denmark, Uganda and Sweden spreading heaps of knowledge and soul.
Simon Alejandro, the daily leader of the Norwegian cultural organization Jungelen, plays music from Guadeloupe, Cape Verde, Congo, Colombia, and Algeria. Alejandro makes things happen in Bergen and has been a leading entrepreneur for the music community in the city for many years as an organizer, DJ, workshop coordinator, and community builder both locally and internationally.
The leader of the initiative Favorite Things, Malte Sanggaard, has built a strong reputation as a DJ in recent years. With a curious approach and a broad taste, Malte manages to shape the soundscapes for anything from a calm rainy day to a cozy dance evening. Malte Sanggaard loves exploring musical trends and stories from around the world. As a DJ, he blends genres and styles, surprising listeners and expanding horizons. In recent years, he has performed at festivals and clubs in Aarhus, Copenhagen, and Bergen, as well as on radio stations in New York and Montpellier.
