What is needed within the agenda of music export and cultural exchange in order to support the long-term domestic and global goals of economic growth, environmental protection, and strengthening social capital? Global cultural projects and discussions about cultural exchange show a need to "slow down” and work to promote more long-term efforts and plans that can both take into account the individual artistic development and process and the environmental aspects. Within these global agendas, we need to talk about export from more than merely a national framework. The members of the panel contributes with different experiences from working with global cultural exchange, Nordic collaboration, music export and funding.
The panel will discuss: Which new tendencies do we see today? How is cultural exchange and music esport playing a role in soft diplomacy. How can the national political agenda of export develop from a one-way presentation/communication to focus more on the complexity and interactions/relationships that arise along the way? How do we maintain the artist perspective in these big and often complex agendas.
