Aarhus Calling: 45 completely new songs with hit potential

For the fifth year in a row, the songwriter event Aarhus Calling took place in connection with SPOT – and for the fifth time the organizers managed to attract international topliners to the event. International delegates flew in to attend to a special pitch seance during this year’s Aarhus Calling: 45 songs were made with the aim of making new hits – created by the talents as well as the international participants who have written/produced songs for artists like Zara Larsson, Diplo, Beyoncé, Calvin Harris, Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry and many others.

The international and Danish top-liners participating in Aarhus Calling are Mnek (UK – Grammy nominated, has worked with Zara Larsson, Diplo, MØ, and Beyoncé), Corey Sanders (UK – Katy Perry’s & Zedd’s latest single ”365” and Chainsmokers et al.), Iain James (UK – Anne Marie & The Vamps), James Newman (UK – Calvin Harris, Ed Sheeran), Josh Record (UK – Brit Awards nominated for ”Lullaby” with Sigala), Lauren Aquilina (UK), Sarah Barrios (US – has worked with Zara Larsson and Bonnie McKee ) Tom Mann (UK), Bully Songs (UK – Brit Awards nominated for ”Lullaby” with Sigala + Galantis) plus Cleo Tighe (UK – Clean Bandit and Charlie XCX),  Cutfather (Katy Perry & Zedd, Flo Rida), PhD (producer duo – Katy Perry & Zedd, Flo Rida), Seeloya (producer duo – David Guetta & Nik og Jay), E&B (producer duo – Imani Williams), Frederik and Fridolin Nordsø (producer duo – Burhan G, Christopher, Outlandish), Kasper Larsen (Calum Scott and Shane Filan), Mirza & Ferruci (DK/UK – John Legend, Conor Maynard), and Small Talk (NL – producer duo), Line Gade (already selected for several international A sessions) and Celine Svanbäck (Imani Williams – already selected for several international A sessions).
